I just got back from our favorite local pizza and beer joint.  I am lucky enough to have a local pizza and beer joint where both the pizza and the beer are exceptional.  Tonight they had Odd 13’s Rocky Melons on tap.  It’s a seasonal Berliner Weisse brewed with local(ish) melons.  Check out the review

The Trump-Putin mutual admiration society is getting a little creepy.  Although, to be fair, it looks pretty one-sided.  The Donald seems to have quite the man-crush on Vlad.  I wonder what Vlad thinks about that?  Leading by Example

So The Donald thinks our generals have been “reduced to rubble.”  Assuming that’s true (ahem), it makes perfect sense to replace them with more qualified generals.  If only there was a place where–you know–generals were just sitting around waiting for the call.  All in the Family

Looks like Hillary’s strategy of Let Trump Be Trump has run its course.  He’s stopped tripping all over himself at every turn, and his popularity has rebounded.  Of course, this is great news inside the Trump camp.  Let’s see how The Donald is reacting.  Movin’ on Up

The state of The Donald’s immigration policy is even harder to figure out than where he buys his hair.  Deport them all…maybe only the criminals.  They gotta go back…they might be able to stay.  There’s no amnesty…let’s worry about it later.  No pathway to citizenship…there might be a way for “good ones” to become legal.  Looks like the only thing we know for sure is that the policy will change again.  It’s certainly hard to know what to do if you might or might not be deported.  How to Be a Good One

Happy Labor Day to everyone.  I hope you’re lucky enough to be taking the day off and enjoying a little family/friends/relaxation time.  In case you’re not, The Donald has made lots of promises about bringing back good blue collar jobs for real Americans.  I’m not quite sure has has all the answers he thinks he does.  Let’s see how it’s working out.  Happy Labor Day

I like to cook things to go along with the beer I drink.  To make things a little more fun, I try to cook with the beer when I can, too.  Green chili is a great food for that.  Adding a little beer to a basic green chili recipe ramps up the flavor and gives you an excuse to crack open a few beers for quality control purposes.  Even better, the beer you cook with is a perfect accompaniment when it’s time to eat. Cooking with Beer–Green Chili

So The Donald is off to Detroit today to speak at a black church.  Let’s skip over the questions of why he waited so long and why he needed questions in advance.  I think it’s much more interesting to see how all this minority outreach is working for him.  Keeping Up
